After the eviction of thousands of people from the Al Bab district, Bahar responded in several
different ways. Hygiene kits equipped with soap, a toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving cream, washcloths
and more, were distributed to the people to provide them with the supplies need for proper hygienic
care. In the midst of a crisis, these supplies are invaluable since many of the affected people were forced
to leave everything behind and are left without ample NFI resources.
From 14 February to 8 March 2017, Bahar was able to supply hygiene kits to 2,000 households in
Aghtrin, located within the A’zaz district of Aleppo. In order to identify the households most in need of
the kits, Bahar consulted with the international non-governmental organisation (INGO), Concern , in
order to identify 20 villages, 19 in the Aghtrin sub-district and one in Al Bab as beneficiaries of the kits.
These villages were considered to be the most vulnerable at the time the kits were distributed.
